Mission and Purpose
The purpose of forming this group was to enlighten and teach fellow Americans about the American Civil War and the part played by the Medical Department during this trying time in our history. We are not trying to convey or change anyone's view on who was right or who was wrong but to enlighten , as to what happened after these terrible engagements. The hopeless job many of these brave men and ladies faced after the great army's left the field and the thousand of dying souls rotting out in the hot sun waiting for medical treatment.. Trying to show the history as it has been recorded and told through the letters and diary's of these participants in the war that changed our total way of Government and what it means to be a United States...
The Mission of the group is simple keep history alive and show people the way it was back then so they do not forget the sacrifices of the many and the few who tried to keep them alive.
